Carbon Monoxide is a silent killer. Boat engines and Generator engines emit this colorless, odorless gas during normal operation. Our CO detectors are the first line of defense in detecting dangerous levels of CO in the living spaces of your boat or RV. There are differences in RV and Boat detectors, though some RV CO detectors have been installed in boats by certain manufacturers. While we recommend marine CO detectors for marine applications, obtaining an exact fit for a replacement may require one of the RV models. Detectors should be replaced every 60 months (5 years) as specified by the manufacturers.
